Invisalign® can treat several types of dental misalignment. In the past, dentists primarily used Invisalign® to make cosmetic enhancements. What to Expect from Invisalign® Treatment

If you opt for Invisalign®, Dr. Tarver will first take digital impressions of your teeth. Using advanced computer software, he will use these images to design clear aligners to fit around your teeth. He can also show you the way your teeth will gradually shift during your treatment. Dr. Tarver will send this data to an Invisalign® lab, where technicians will create a set of smooth, BPA-free aligner trays. You will wear each tray for about two weeks. The aligners will be specifically calibrated to straighten your teeth using a gentle, precise force. On average, Invisalign® treatment will take about 12 months for adults. The exact length of the process will depend on the severity of your misalignment and how your teeth respond to the aligners. When your treatment is complete, you will typically need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their straightened position.
