Renew Your Oral Health with Advanced Restorative Dentistry

Tooth-colored Fillings

If you are suffering from a cavity, a dental filling can prevent further decay and save the remaining portion of your tooth. Dr. Tarver only uses tooth-colored composite resin fillings. Unlike metal fillings, composite fillings will not show through your teeth. The composite material also forms a stronger bond with your tooth. To place a filling, Dr. Tarver will numb your tooth before removing all bacteria and infected material. Then he will place the composite in several layers before hardening it with a curing light.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns can restore functionality if your tooth has suffered trauma or decay. In most cases, Dr. Tarver can provide a same-day crown made with our advanced CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) system. Our in-office milling machine will create a lifelike restoration based on digital impression of your teeth. If you want to restore one of your front teeth, you may benefit from a lab-made crown. These restorations can be crafted from porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-ceramic, or zirconia.

Dental Bridges

If you are missing one or more teeth, you may be a good candidate for a dental bridge. A bridge can attach to adjacent dental crowns or a dental implant. Dr. Tarver and our partner lab technicians will carefully design your bridge so that it blends seamlessly with your smile. Depending on your goals and budget, you can select a porcelain-fused-to-metal bridge or a zirconia restoration.

Dental Implants

Dental implants consist of tiny titanium posts implanted in the jaw to support a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture. They are a permanent option for tooth replacement, and offer incredible stability and the most natural appearance available. If you are a candidate for dental implants, Dr. Tarver will refer you to a local oral surgeon to have the posts placed. Once they heal and fuse with the bone, Dr. Tarver can attach your new restoration. In some cases, you may qualify for mini or same-day implants. Dr. Tarver will oversee your treatment from start to finish and provide excellent pre-op and post-op care.

Dentures

With advanced fabrication techniques, today’s dentures look and fit better than ever before. Even if you are missing all or most of your teeth, you can restore your smile with a functional, natural-looking restoration. For even greater stability and a highly lifelike appearance, consider implant-retained dentures. With these restorations, you can continue to enjoy your favorite foods, and you will never have to worry about your dentures moving out of place. The implant posts can also prevent jawbone atrophy and preserve your facial structure.
